The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) conceived the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Continuous Trail Unmanned Vessel (ACTUV) program primarily for surveillance purposes, tracking the movements of enemy submarines.
A Communications Unit Leader (COML) at the 2016 Boston Marathon produced the following report on the application and performance of two ICRIs that were loaned to the marathon’s coordinators:
An ICRI-2PMTM (NSN 5820-01-564-4593) and the PTSTM vehicle-mount power supply/radio docking station, have been integrated to expand the functionality of tactical military radios (i.e.: PRC-117, PRC-150, PRC-152, PSC-5, RT-1523).
With the recent closing of JPS Communications, many public safety agencies are searching for a replacement to their ACU-1000 interoperability gateway or other variant. To learn more about the ICRI – radio interoperability gateway, visit www.c-at.com/ICRI or contact us by phone or email (info@c-at.com or +1-703-481-0068)
C-AT has successfully interfaced its ICRI® – radio interoperability gateway to the Iridium Extreme® PTT (model 9575P) satellite handset, via a docking station developed by Applied Satellite Engineering, Inc.®
The ICRI – radio interoperability gateway – is capable of bridging/cross-connecting all models of public safety and military radios. We maintain this compatibility by continually engineering new interface cables as new radio models are released.
To address the radio coverage gap, between the marathon starting line in Hopkinton and finish line in Boston, the ICRI will bridge VHF and UHF mobile radios (Motorola XTL series mobile to XPR 4000 series mobile radios)
The ICRI-2PM has been fitted into a backpack, along with a Barrett 2090 HF radio and an ICOM F9511 VHF/P25 radio, to provide interoperability between the two devices.
A member of our staff attended a National Guard Association (NGAUS) Domestic Operations Task Force meeting, in Washington D.C, last month. We were introduced to the following two products at the meeting, that may have interesting applications for disaster response.
